Installing New Tile - Installing new tile can be a breeze if you know how to do it and you have the appropriate tools. They are inexpensive and will pay for themselves if they save you a couple tiles, especially if you are working with marble.

Whether you are installing tile in your Kitchen, Bathroom or Utility Room the most important starting point will be a clean, smooth surface to begin with. If you are working with anything other than a concrete curface, a cement- backer board is a good idea. Other things you will need, other than the tile itself, would be a tape measure, chaulk line, a pencil and a square. After your surface is prepped you will need tile adhesive, a notched trowel, tile spacers, a level and a rubber mallet. After your tile is installed you will need grout, a bucket to mix the grout and a sponge for clean up. To cut your tiles, you will need a tile cutter, nippers, safety glasses and work gloves. All of these tools can be found in your local hardware store. I f you are not close to one, they can be purchased online.
